Privacy Policy

Overview
Tone Scout is operated by Casey Henderson. This policy explains how Tone Scout handles information when you use the app.
Tone Scout is designed as a local audio-reference tool. We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, share, or track your personal information.
Audio files and session data
When you import audio into Tone Scout, the app stores a local copy of that file along with the session name, EQ settings, presets, meter history, and bounced audio files. This information stays on your device and is not sent to Casey Henderson or to any third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud service.
Depending on your device settings, app data may be included in backups managed by Apple. Tone Scout does not operate or control those backups.
Your choices and sharing
You control your audio files and session data. You can delete sessions and bounced files within Tone Scout, or remove the app from your device.
Audio is shared only when you explicitly choose to use the iOS Share sheet, AirDrop, or Finder/Apple Devices file transfer. Any recipient or service you choose is responsible for handling the file under its own privacy practices.
What Tone Scout does not access
Tone Scout does not request access to your microphone, camera, photos, contacts, location, or health data. It does not use advertising, analytics, tracking, user accounts, or in-app cloud sync.
Privacy of this website
This privacy-policy website may be hosted using Firebase Hosting. Firebase Hosting may process standard technical information required to serve a webpage, such as IP address and request logs, under Google's privacy practices. This is separate from the Tone Scout app, which does not send your app data to Firebase.
Changes to this policy
If Tone Scout's data practices change, this policy will be updated and its revision date will be changed.
